This is not the Cold War.  If China’s going to the moon, it’s good for progress if you ask me.  The program hasn’t shown belligerence, why should we worry about it.

Cutting the space budget is because of everybody who wants to cut funding to NASA (sequestration).

When they say “20 vacations” it may seem shocking, but I don’t know what they mean.  Even when the president is at Camp David or Martha’s Vineyard, he still has to work.

That is a common myth.  MLK was actually non-partisan.  He said,

“I don’t think the Republican party is a party full of the almighty God nor is the Democratic party. They both have weaknesses.”

but also this about a GOP senator:

The Republican Party geared its appeal and program to racism, reaction, and extremism. All people of goodwill viewed with alarm and concern the frenzied wedding at the Cow Palace of the KKK with the radical right. The “best man” at this ceremony was a senator whose voting record, philosophy, and program were anathema to all the hard-won achievements of the past decade.
